Jim Miner | CEO
Jim Miner is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in driving growth, profitability, and business development for Native American-owned companies, currently serving as President and CEO of Bold Cape as well as Delta Point LLC, both subsidiaries of King Cove Corporation. Jim has spent the last 30 years in Alaska building successful for-profit companies centering on Alaska Native Corporation subsidiaries becoming certified in the SBA’s 8(a) program. Jim started Copper River Information Technology in 2005 for the Native Village of Eyak and grew the company to successful profitability; today, the Copper River family of subsidiaries is a $250 million conglomerate with over 500 employees. Likewise, in 2010 Jim started Moss Cape LLC for the Native Village of King Cove and grew the company to successful profitability, achieving $30+ million in revenue in 2019. Presently, Jim is leading both Bold Cape and Delta Point to rapid success in the 8(a) program.
Ty Kosa | Executive Vice President
Ty Kosa is a professional who maintains an aptitude for multi-tasking and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. With over 20 years in the Army, his military background affords him a personal understanding of Federal space and customer requirements. His experience in the military provided him with years to develop essential skills in federal relationship management, budget management, team building, and leadership. His various assignments in infantry units, serving multiple overseas tours, and his time at the Pentagon developed the “lead by example” philosophy he still embraces today.
During his time in the military, Ty earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration and a master’s degree in Sports Management. He has been supporting Federal Contracting companies since retiring from the Army, primarily working for Alaska Native Corporations.
Ty lives with his family in East Tennessee where he spends warmer days on the water and cooler days enjoying the Smoky Mountains. He also spends time in the local community coaching high school track & field and volunteering with Young Life.
Rose Pletnikoff | Vice President of Human Resources
Originally from King Cove, Rosanne Pletnikoff is Unangax and has a history steeped in the Aleut region of Alaska. Her extensive involvement in the region greatly lends itself to aiding Bold Cape’s mission to support the Village of King Cove. Rosanne holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business from the University of Alaska system, as well as SHRM-CP and PHR certifications. Her experience in Human Resources spans over a decade in the Government, Health Care, and Non-Profit sectors. She also is involved with other Alaska Native-focused organizations outside of work.
Rosanne currently lives in Anchorage, Alaska with her family. She enjoys creating artwork in her off time including beading, oil painting, and woodwork. During the summer months, she enjoys getting out to King Cove to visit family and friends.
Board of Directors
Bold Cape’s parent company, King Cove Corporation, provides essential oversight in determining the organization’s mission and purpose through its Board of Directors, ensuring effective organizational planning while representing its shareholders. The Board furnishes governing measures and promotes the stability of operations. This allows Bold Cape to provide sustainable growth for the Village of King Cove and support the shareholders as they endeavor to preserve their traditional culture and values.
